Activating Your Service:

Your Italy SIM card will provide you with an Italy cellular phone number that is printed on the reverse of the SIM card packaging under a bar code and will begin N. tel 3...

• Go to Italy
• Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
• Insert the TIM SIM card into your GSM phone
• If it's a triband phone, make sure the network is set to 900/1800 Mhz
• Turn on your phone
• And start calling!

Once you make your first phone call your SIM card will also be activated to receive calls.

Customer service for your Italy Mobile prepaid SIM card is available 24 hr./day by dialing 4916, 4919, 4920 or 1860 (Select option 2 for English) at any time from your Italy cellular phone.

When calling overseas from the United States to your Italy cell phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 39 and then your Italy cell phone number. To call abroad from your Italy cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.

Adding Talk Time:

To credit/add airtime to your TIM SIM card, you will need to purchase "RICARICard" airtime vouchers which you will find available at most convenient stores, tabac shops and petrol stations, conveniently located throughout Italy. They are available in 3 (US $5.20), 25 (US $26.10) and 50 (US $52.20) Euro denominations.

"RICARICard" airtime vouchers are available at face value and so a 5 Euro airtime voucher will cost you 5 Euro and subsequently will credit your Italy SIM card for 5 Euro.

To credit your prepaid SIM card load with the airtime voucher simply:

• Scratch off the silver/grey covering to reveal the 16 digit code
• Call 4916 from your Italy cell phone
• Select option 2 for the recharge option
• Select option 1 for the RICARICard recharge option
• Enter the 16 digit code
• The number will be repeated back to you.
• Press 8 to confirm.

Rates:

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Italy from your Italy SIM card while you are in Italy. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate are free with your TIM Italy SIM card.

International rates are per minute for international outgoing calls within Italy from your Italy SIM card while you are in Italy. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate are free with your TIM Italy SIM card.

International Roaming Rates:

Thanks to International Roaming, you can travel abroad with your TIM Italy prepaid SIM Card and a GSM cell phone, place calls in roaming mode, and send SMS text messages in all countries with which TIM has made Roaming Agreements.

The TIM Italy prepaid SIM Card will allow you to make the following calls types while abroad:

• call Italy from the country where you're roaming
• call domestically inside the country where you're roaming
• receive calls from around the world

Recharging your prepaid Italy cellular phone card when you're abroad is easy with the TIM prepaid SIM card.

With a "RICARICard" talk-time voucher (recharge card) purchased in from us before you leave or bought in Italy:

• Call 4916 and follow the automated instructions. The call is free of charge!
• If the service is not available, you can key in: *123* RicariCard Code # Enter
• Press 8 to confirm

For more information dial 119, in Italy, from your mobile phone.

You can do a FREE BALANCE CHECK at any time, even while roaming outside Italy, by dialing *123# and then the OK or SEND Button.

Voice Mail:

The prompts you hear during this process are in Italian - you may find it useful to enlist the help of a friendly Italian.

Dial 4920 and wait until it goes through the options in Italian. It will say "lo sai di TIM" and then "Chi e di tim" and then finally the 3rd option, which is for voice mail. Press 3 to enter the voice mail options menu. Remeber to wait until the options have been given before making a selection.

• Press 1 to go to a submenu where you can turn your voice mail option on or off (it is on by default).
• Press 2 to choose a password for your voice mail.
• Press 3 to set the voice mail language. To have voice mail prompts changed to English, press number 2.

So, to change the voice mail to English, you will dial 4920, wait, then select 3, wait, then 3, wait, then 2.

• To check messages, call 4919 [Yes/Send]. Follow the instructions to setup a personal greeting.
• To cancel messages, press 77 when listening or 7 after listening.
• To save a message, press 9.

Customer Service - Problem Solving: For problems with the cellular network or service, dial 119 [Yes/Send] from your handset or 339 9119 from a landline to speak to a TIM Customer Service representative.

Service Life:

Each recharge extends the validity of the SIM card for 12 months from the date of the recharge plus one month in which you may only receive calls, even with expired airtime. If you do not recharge your SIM card within that period, the SIM card and accompanying phone number will expire.
