The phone number is a Liechtenstein number and the prepaid account comes with € 18 of initial prepaid call credit. Best of all, every incoming call in any Zone 1 country (except the US, Canada and the Ukraine) is FREE!! (There's a surcharge if you use the cellphone in the US, Ukraine and Canada. Talk Abroad™ Recharge Voucher only $29.00 each Add credit to your Talk Abroad SIM by purchasing recharge voucher. Call us at 1-800-815-9380. Re-charge credits for the Talk Abroad™ SIM Card typically add 30 minutes worth of talk time to your SIM card in Zone 1. (20 minutes typical in Zone 2 and about 13 minutes typical in Zone 3.) This credit is then valid for 9 months from the date the service is last used. Recharging your SIM card allows you to keep your phone number for as long as the time period is valid. When ordering separately, please remember to supply your Talk Abroad™ SIM card phone number! You can supply this information in the "comments" field when placing your online order.

Activating Your Service:

Simply make a call in order to activate your service. Your phone service is valid for 9 months from the day of activation. Each use or recharge will extend your service life for an additional 9 months from the date of the recharge.

Your Phone Number:
You will have a European phone number, regardless of where you are traveling. Your phone number will be clearly marked in your Talk Abroad™'s packaging.

Checking your Call Credit:
You may check your credit at any time by dialing a 3 digit number on your handset.

Making and Receiving Calls:
When you make a call, charges begin only when the other party answers the call or if it goes to voicemail. Outgoing and incoming call charges are based on 60-second intervals. Important: You must have at least € 1 of credit available on your account to receive incoming calls. If you exhaust your credit, you will NOT be able to receive free incoming calls in Zone 1.

Adding Talk Time:

Talk time can be added to your card though us. Check our ordering page to find the most convenient method for you to contact us.

Talk Abroad™ SIM Card Callling Rates:

• All incoming calls received in most Zone 1 countries are FREE! (See important note on surcharges below)
• Incoming calls received in most Zone 2 and Zone 3 countries are only $ 0.97 per minute (+ any applicable surcharge)
• All outgoing SMS messages are $0.79
• Billing increments: 60 seconds
• VAS = Balance Inquiry & Voicemail access

Surcharges

• $1.61 per minute local surcharge for making and receiving calls if you are dialing from or receiving calls in countries marked with an * (e.g. For this surcharge take effect the SIM CARD itself must physically be in a country marked with an * . It does not apply if you're simply calling TO a country marked with an * from a country NOT marked with an *.
• Surcharge for outgoing calls to any mobile phone: $0.32 per minute.

Voice Mail:

Your voice mail is already activated. You can access your voice mail system from your handset or from a land line. (It's the cost of a call to Liechtenstein.) From your handset, you dial a 3 digit number and follow the prompts to listen to messages. You can also personalize your greeting by following the prompts in the voice mail options. Calls to your voice mail are billed as normal calls. You will receive a text message alerting you of any new voicemails. PLEASE NOTE: Voice mail will only pick up under the following circumstances: When the phone is on but not answered, when the line is busy (phone is in use) or when all calls are diverted to voice mail.

SMS:

You can send and receive SMS text messages from your Talk Abroad™ international cell phone. However, we cannot be responsible nor guarantee that you will always be able to send and receive SMS messages in all circumstances and in all countries. The initial Talk Abroad™ account gives you up to 36 SMS messages and each additional $29 call credit gives you up to 36 additional outgoing messages (the equivalent of 0.49 Euros per message).

Service Life:

From the time you activate the service (make your first call), the service life of the phone is 9 months. However, if you recharge your phone, your service life will be extended another 9 months. If you do not add time within 9 months, you will lose your number and all credit.
