Spain SIM Card

A prepaid Spain SIM card with an international cell phone offers convenient and affordable calling while you travel Spain. All incoming calls while in Spain are FREE, regardless of where they originate, pay the local rate for local calls and use your cellular phone in Spain like you do at home. And unlike home, your Spain SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract, rental fees or roaming surcharges.

Rates

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls from your prepaid Spain SIM card while you are in Spain. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate are FREE.

• EUR 0.104 (approx. US$0.15) per minute to all Spain landline & mobile networks. *
• Domestic SMS messages cost EUR 0.15 (approx. US$0.22) per message

* A connection fee of EUR 0.25 (approx. US$0.36) applies.

A maximum of 60 minutes allowed each day and limited to 30 minutes per call, with a maximum of 500 minutes per month.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier with your prepaid Spain SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from a Spain SIM card while in Spain.

Between midnight and 8pm

International SMS messages cost EUR 0.25 (approx. US$0.36) per message.

A connection fee of EUR 0.25 (approx. US$0.36) applies.
All rates include VAT.

Service Life

Your SIM card will be deactivated after 3 months of you not using your service. However, if you have still have credit on your card and it is enough to cover the monthly maintenance fee of 0.58 Euros, then your card will remain active until you no longer have a balance remaining on the card. This will result in a permanent deactivation and recycling of your SIM card. In order to continue using your Spain service, you will need to purchase another SIM card.

*The monthly maintenance fee is only applicable if your line has not been used in the 3 months.

Activating Your Service

Your Spain SIM card will provide you with a Spain cellular phone number, which will be emailed to you once you completed the activation process.

• Once you arrive in Spain
• Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
• Insert the Spain SIM chip into the cellular phone*
• Turn on your phone
• Set your GSM cell phone to the 900/1800 frequency
• Enter PIN code^
• Start calling**

Lebara Customer service for your prepaid SIM card in Spain is available 24 hours a day by dialing 2222 at any time from your Spain cellular phone.

For your reference, the emergency numbers while in Spain are: 091 for Police, 061 for Ambulance, 080 for Fire

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Spain SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Spain SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^Your Spain SIM card requires a 4 digit PIN code. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly 3 times. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Spain cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 34 and then your Spain cell phone number. To call abroad from your Spain cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number. To call Planetomni you would dial 0018007070031

Adding Talk Time

The Lebara SIM card for Spain will include 10 EUR (approx. US$13.17) of initial airtime. Additional airtime credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called recharge cards. Airtime vouchers are available locally in Spain at convenience stores, petrol stations, Vodafone shops and authorized dealers. To recharge your Spain service, simply follow the instructions below.

• Purchase a Lebara recharge card
• Scratch off the protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code
• Follow the instructions printed on your recharge voucher

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free, even when you run out of airtime.

To check your remaining balance, simply dial 2224 and follow the voice prompts.
