Activating Your Service:
Your Mexico mobile phone number can be found on the envelope of your SIM card packaging and begins 664... The Mexico cell phone number may also be found on the duo-fold letter containing your SIM card.
To start using your service simply:
- Travel to Mexico
- Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
- Insert the Mexico SIM card into the mobile phone*
- Turn on the phone
- Enter the PIN code
- Select Language
- Start calling
Customer service for your Mexico Telcel prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing *264 at any time from your Mexico cellular phone.
Adding Talk Time:
Telcel recharge cards (in Mexico, generically called "fichas") are available at most of the many convenience stores and magazine kiosks throughout Mexico. You enter the recharge code from the card into your handset to apply more call credit to your Telcel SIM card. You may also purchase the recharge codes through ATMs. They may be purchased in denominations of 100, 200, 300 and 500 Pesos. On the back of the card in the lower left corner is the recharge code. (When purchased new, there's a scratch-off coating concealing the code number.)
For your convenience, contact us regarding purchasing additional recharge cards in demonimations of 110, 220, 330 and 550 pesos.

Voicemail:
Listening to your voice mail costs 1 Peso regardless of the length of your call. Your voice mail can be activated for free while in Mexico by dialing *264 and then "0" for the operator. The operator will activate your voice mail upon request.
Service Life:
The Mexico SIM card is active for one month upon activation. Your first as well as all subsequent recharges will extend the validity for 60 days. After 60 days your account and corresponding credit will be on hold for up to 180 days. Adding talk time will again allow you to access your cell phone service. If you do not add talk time within the 180 day period, you will lose your phone number and all credit.
