- This cellular phone is not a GSM phone and will not work on the GSM network. This product is intended for use in Japan only.
- The charger for this cellular phone is 100 volts and thus can only be charged in Japan. A transformer is available that will step up or step down the voltage from 100 to 117 and 117 to 100 for use in the US. The 200-watt JC200 Transformer can be purchased from us for $29.95.

Activating Your Service:
First, you have to "register" to use 'PreCa':
- Dial 1400 + Start Button
- Listen to the instructions (all in Japanese)
- Push 1
- When registration is complete, you will be given information on the balance of the card and telephone number expiration date
- Push End Button
Changing the guidance to English:
- Complete registration first
- Dial 1400 + Start Button
- Listen to the instructions (still in Japanese)
- Push 5
- Push 2
- Push End Button
Adding Talk Time:
Purchase a 'PreCa' Card. Additional Card is available at about US$25 (for about 30 mins. Local calls) or US$42 (for about 50 mins. Local call). PreCa Cards are available at Seven-Eleven, Sunks, Lowson, etc., and most other convenience shops
- Dial 1400 + Start Button
- Listen to the instructions
- Push 2
- Enter the 12-digit card number and #
- Confirm Card Number. Card Number is repeated. If it is correct please push #, if it is incorrect push 0 to re-input the number.
- Follow the instructions and push the keys as indicated. When registration is complete, you will be given information on the balance of the registered amount, the expiration date of the card and the cellphone number validity date.

Service Life:
After the initial registration, the phone number and corresponding prepaid credit are valid for 90 days. If you do not load your card within 30 days from the end of the valid service period, you will lose the phone number indefinitely. Each reload extends the time period for another 90 days, so if you add two reloads together, you will extend the time periods for 180 days. You can extend the valid service period for up to a maximum of one year.
