Fiji SIM Card

The prepaid SIM card for Fiji is the most simple and economical solution for making and receiving cell phone calls while in Fiji. ALL incoming calls, regardless of their origin, are always absolutely FREE! Outgoing rates, as outlined below, are extremely inexpensive as well. Since these SIM cards are prepaid, there is no need for a contract.

Rates

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per minute for domestic outgoing calls within Fiji. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE with your Fiji SIM card.

SMS messages are charged at US$0.20 per message.

International Calls

International rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from your Fiji SIM card while you are in Fiji. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE with your Fiji SIM card.

IDD Rate = Standard International Direct Dial Rate at FJD 0.59 (US$0.36)

SMS messages are charged at US$0.20 per message.

Service Life

Your validity period will depend on your first recharge and can be a maximum of 180 days. If you do not recharge within the initial expiry period, you have a further 30 days to recharge your account. Failing to do so, will result in a permanent and irrevocable termination of your service and mobile phone number. If you wish to continue using your Fiji service, you will need to purchase another SIM card. For detailed information on recharge amounts and their validity periods, please consult the table below.

• US$10 recharge will give you 90 days of validity.
• US$20 recharge will give you 180 days of validity.
• US$30 recharge will give you 180 days of validity.
• US$60 recharge will give you 180 days of validity.
• US$100 recharge will give you 180 days of validity.

Activating Your Service

Your Fiji service will provide you with a Fiji cellular phone number, which can be found on the back of your SIM card inside your SIM card package. The number will begin with 93.

• Travel to Fiji
• Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
• Insert the Fiji SIM card into your GSM mobile phone
• Turn on your phone
• Dial 132 and enter the 12-digit recharge voucher code you receive with your SIM card package
• You are now ready to make calls** (Once you make your first phone call your SIM card will also be activated to receive calls.)

For emergencies while using your local Fiji GSM SIM card in Fiji please dial 112 from your cell phone.

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Fiji SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert it into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Fiji cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 679 and then your Fiji cell phone number. To call abroad from your Fiji cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number.

While in Fiji, customer service is available 24 hours a day by dialing 123 from your mobile phone.

Adding Talk Time

To add airtime to your Fiji SIM card you will need to purchase a Vodafone PrePay Recharge Card, which you will find available at most convenience stores, tabac shops and petrol stations conveniently located throughout Fiji. To recharge your Fiji service, simply follow the steps below.

• Scratch off the protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code
• Dial 132 from your mobile phone
• Enter your 12-digit recharge voucher code when prompted
• Upon successful entry, a voice will notify you of your new balance

When purchasing a Recharge Card, make sure you are in fact purchasing a RECHARGE CARD... DO NOT purchase another SIM card.
