Croatia SIM Card

Rates

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Croatia from your Croatia SIM card while you are in Croatia. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE with your Croatia SIM card.

SMS messages are charged at HRK 0.40 (US$0.07) per message during peak and HRK 0.29 (US$0.05) per message during off-peak time.

Off-Peak times: 6pm-8am weekdays, weekends, holidays

International Calls

International rates are per minute for international outgoing calls originating from your cellphone in Croatia with a Croatia SIM card. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are free with your Croatia SIM card.

Service Life

After a 90 day validity period (100kn voucher), or 180 day (200kn voucher) validity period, you have an additional 90 days left known as the Grace period. In these 90 days you are able to recharge your account with a new VIPme voucher by calling the free of charge number 091 77 88 (VIPme menu). You cannot make or receive any phone calls anymore, except to the Customer Service number. If you do not recharge within these 90 days, your VIPme account will be closed and any remaining airtime will be forfeit. You will have to purchase a new VIPme SIM card.

Activating Your Service

Your Croatia SIM card will provide you with a Croatia cellular phone number, which can be found on the back of your SIM card package. The number begins with 091.

• Travel to Croatia
• Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
• Put the VIPme SIM card into the mobile phone*
• Turn on your phone and enter the 4 digit PIN code^
• Dial 091 7700 and press 1 to activate your service
• Start calling**

Customer service for your Croatia prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing 091 77 77 at any time from your Croatia cellular phone.

For your reference, the emergency numbers while in Croatia are: 92 for Police, 94 for Ambulance, 93 for Fire

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Croatia SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Croatoa SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

^The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly. Your phone may or may not prompt you for a PIN code. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone along with PIN2. The PIN and PUK may be found under a dark blue cover. A Bank PIN and PUK in a white envelope is also included and may be disregarded.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Croatia cellular phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 385 and then your Croatia cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To call abroad from your Croatia cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number. For example to call Planetomni you would dial 0018007070031

Adding Talk Time

VIPme vouchers from your Croatia cell phone can be bought in VIP centers, at the post offices and at VIP partners. A VIPme voucher can be bought in two values: 100kn and 200kn. A VIPme voucher of 100kn has a 90 day validity period and a VIPme voucher of 200kn has a 180 day validity period.

• Purchase a VIPme recharge voucher
• Scratch off the protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code
• Dial 091 77 88 (free of charge)
• Enter the 14-digit number, when prompted

Remember: Do not purchase another Croatia SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!
