Domestic Calls
Domestic call charges depend on the plan you select when activating your Chile prepaid SIM card. We recommend the Plan Raimundo. All incoming calls regardless of where they originate or plan you choose are FREE!

Making International calls from your Chile mobile phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Chile SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from your Chile SIM card while in Chile.

Service Life
If you do not recharge your Chile service within 6 months of activation, your mobile phone number will be recycled. The 6 month period begins on the day you register your Chile prepaid SIM card and load your first airtime voucher.
Activating Your Service
You may insert the Chile prepaid SIM card into your GSM cell phone prior to your departure to ensure that the handset is functioning properly. You will not be able to Start Calling or follow any further instructions until you arrive in Chile.
- Travel to Chile
- Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
- Insert the Chile SIM chip into the cellular phone*
- Turn on your phone
- Dial 103 then press yes/ok/send to register your Chile prepaid SIM card
- You will receive your new Chile cell phone number via text message (SMS)
- Add CLP 5000 (approx. $9.50 USD) airtime voucher that is included in your package (refer to adding airtime section below)
- Start calling**
This SIM card and service may ONLY be activated once you arrive in Chile.
Customer service for your Chile prepaid SIM card can be contacted by dialing 103 (free of charge) from your mobile phone. Alternatively, you can dial 600-360-0103 from a landline (free of charge).
For emergencies while using your local Chile GSM SIM card in Chile please dial 112 from your cell phone.
*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Chile SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Chile SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the Chile SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.
**When calling overseas from the United States to your Chile cellular phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 56 and then your Chile cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To call abroad from your Chile cellular phone, simply dial 00 + country code + area code + phone number. For example to call Planetomni you would dial 0018007070031
For calls to fixed lines within Chile you will need to enter a 0 followed by the area code and phone number. Example: To call to Santiago (area code 2) number 255-5555 you would dial 025555555. If the number is from Vina del Mar: (area code 32) you would dial 0322555555.
To call a Chilean mobile number, you would dial the number directly (regardless of the city). Mobile numbers in Chile do not have an area code.
Adding Talk Time
In order to add airtime to your Chile SIM card, please follow the instructions below. You may purchase additional airtime from most convenience stores, tabac shops and petrol stations in Chile. Additional airtime purchased locally, is available in the following denominations:
- CLP $3500 (approx. US$6.65) - Valid for 30 days after loading
- CLP $5000 (approx. US$9.50) - Valid for 60 days after loading
- CLP $6000 (approx. US$11.41) - Valid for 60 days after loading
- CLP $10000 (approx. US$19.00) - Valid for 90 days after loading
- CLP $15000 (approx. US$28.52) - Valid for 90 days after loading
Here is how you add your airtime.
- Locate the recharge voucher code, affixed to your SIM card package*
- Dial 103 from your mobile phone or 600 360 0103 from a landline (charges may apply)
- Select option 1
- Select option 4
- Enter the 12 digit code, when prompted
- You will hear your new balance
Alternative, you can apply the voucher code you purchased by:
- Entering *114* followed by you 12-digit recharge voucher code and the # key, then press yes/ok/send
- For example if your 12 digit top-up voucher is 123456789102, you must dial *114*123456789102# and then press yes/ok/send
*At your destination, you may purchase additional airtime in form of scratch cards, where you will need to scratch off the gray protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code.
REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free, even when you run out of airtime.
