Activating Your Service:
Your Belize mobile phone number is displayed on the reverse side your Belize SIM card packaging and begins 602…. The DigiCell cell phone number may also be found on the Belize SIM card user manual, which also contains your SIM card.
To start using your service simply:
* Your Belize SIM card does not require a 4-digit PIN code, which would normally be located in the manual containing the SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock you phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.
Adding Talk Time:
Your SIM card has an initial airtime credit of BZD$40.00 (US$20). Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called reload codes (NOT another SIM card), in Belize. These airtime vouchers are available in 3 denominations:
Simply scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your voucher code. When punched into the keypad of your international cell phone the voucher code will credit your SIM card the respective denomination you purchased.
Airtime vouchers are available locally, in Belize, at local Tabac shops, convenience stores, Digicell shops and authorized dealers.
Remember: Do not purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! Your only need a recharge voucher! And your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime.
Belize Cell Phone Rates:
Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Belize from the prepaid Belize SIM card while you are in Belize. All incoming calls on your Belize cell phone, regardless of where they originate, are FREE.
Making International calls from your world cell phone has never been easier with your prepaid Belize SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from an Belize prepaid SIM card within Belize.
Service Life:
If you do not recharge your account within 12-months your Mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card. The 12-month period starts the day you arrive in Belize.
Coverage:
Cellular coverage in Belize is excellent, far exceeding typical cellular coverage in the US.
