Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Argentina using the Argentina SIM card while you are in Argentina. All incoming calls on your Argentina cell phone regardless of where they originate are just $0.41 USD. All calls are billed in 30 second increments. Rates below are per minute.

Peak-times: Mon-Fri 8am - 10pm
Off Peak-times: Mon-Fri 10pm -8am, Sat midnight - 8am and 1pm - midnight, Sun and public holidays all day

International Calls

Making International calls from your world cell phone has never been easier with your prepaid Argentina SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from a Argentina prepaid SIM card. All calls are billed in 30 second increments. Rates below are per minute.

Peak: 8:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday
Off Peak: All other times

Service Life

If you do not recharge your account within 8 months, your SIM card and phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. Every time you subsequently add airtime, the validity of your SIM card will be extended for 8 months.

Activating Your Service

Your Argentina SIM card will provide you with an Argentina cellular phone number, which can be found on a white sticker on the reverse side of your SIM card package, above the bar code. The cell phone number will begin with +54.

• Travel to Argentina
• Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
• Insert the Argentina SIM chip into the cellular phone*
• Turn on your phone
• Enter PIN code^
• Dial *151 from your mobile phone
• Press 1 when prompted
• Enter the 12-digit recharge code
• Start calling **

Customer service for your Argentina prepaid SIM card is available 24 hours a day by dialing *111 at any time from your Argentina cellular phone.

For emergencies while using your local Argentina GSM SIM card in Argentina please dial 112 from your cell phone.

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Argentina SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Argentina SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your cell phone.

^ Your Argentina SIM card may require a 4-digit PIN code found in your paperwork. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly 3 times. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.

**When calling overseas from the United States to your Argentina cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 54 9 11 and then your Argentina cell phone number. To call abroad from your Argentina cellular phone, simply dial 00 + country code + area code + phone number. For example to call Planetomni you would dial 0018007070031

Adding Talk Time

The Argentina SIM card (Personal Telecom) comes with an initial starter airtime credit of AR$10 (approx. US$3.20). Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers. These Airtime vouchers are available locally in Argentina, at convenience stores, petrol stations and Telecom Movilcarga outlets. Airtime vouchers are available in AR$10 increments up to a maximum of AR$100 (approx. US$35). To recharge your account, simply follow the instructions below.

• Purchase a recharge card, also called Personal Light card
• Scratch off the protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code
• Dial *151 from your mobile phone
• Press 1 when prompted
• Enter the 12-digit recharge code

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! To check your remaining airtime balance, follow the instructions below.

• Dial *150 from your mobile phone and listen to your remaining credit
