Multisystem VCRs
Multisystem NTSC SECAM PAL VCRs
Add a Multi System VCR to your home-theatre system to view PAL VHS tapes on NTSC TVs (NTSC is used in the USA, Canada and Japan). You'll need either a multisystem VCR and a multisystem TV, OR a multisystem VCR and a quality converter such as the Tenlab Multisystem Video Converters OR a VCR/Converter Combo to switch between the different video formats.

Multi System TV and VCR Setup Options:
- The TV and VCR approach is ideal for those who only need to view PAL, NTSC and SECAM tapes but not make conversions or copies. You will not have any resolution loss and for a basic multisystem VCR and TV it is the most cost efficient approach.
- The second option, combining a multisystem VCR and a free-standing Tenlab converter, is the right choice for the professional or for those who need excellent quality at a low price. The Tenlabs give you BROADCAST QUALITY conversions virtually identical to the original! With a multisystem VCR and a Tenlab you can also view all tapes on any TV.
- The third option is to use a multisystem VCR/Converter Combo. With a VCR/Converter Combo you can use any TV - no need to by a multistandard TV as well. You can actually make copies from any standard to any other standard and send them abroad (ex. make copies into PAL so relatives or clients can view them in Europe).
The Benefits of Multi System VCRs
- A multisystem VCR, sometimes also referred to as multi standard VCR is capable of playing video tapes of different video formats like PAL(Phase Alternating Line), SECAM(Sequential Couleur Avec Memoire) and NTSC (National Television System Committee).
- Their dual voltage design allows them to be plugged into either a 110 voltage source or a 220 voltage source.
- Multi System VCRs are the perfect companions to Multisystem PAL-NTSC-SECAM LCDs and Multisystem Plasma Televisions.
