The Pioneer Elite flagship DV-59AVi DVD Player is built to deliver an unsurpassed audio and video experience, period. An advanced 14-bit, 216MHz video digital-to-analog converter (DAC) delivers professional-quality video with exceptionally clean images and very low noise, while 192kHz 24-Bit Burr Brown audio DACs deliver pure audio quality from DVD, CD, DVD-Audio, or SACD.

Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, plus coaxial and optical digital outputs and six-channel analog output, provide a truly stunning audio performance. And as a video player, the DV89AVi plays DVD-Video and DVD-R/RW, and features high-definition upconversion and Pioneer's PureCinema progressive scan for a spectacular visual experience. With the DV59AVi, the DVD progressive resolution is converted to 720p or 1080i High-Definition signals to make the most of your HDTV-Ready TV!

The new DV-47Ai brings the emerging technologies of DVD-Audio and multi-channel SACD to you in a single box, together with the state-of-the-art HDMI interface and high-definition pixel conversion.

As with all Pioneer Elite DVD players, you are assured the highest quality audio and video reproduction. The DV59AVi includes 216MHz/14-bit video processing and Legato PRO(TM), Pioneer's refined frequency range expansion technology for better music reproduction. They also offer Pioneer's PureCinema(TM) progressive scan circuit to faithfully reproduce the original film frames using 2:3 pull-down inverse telecine technology and display them progressively. If the DVD does not indicate telecine conversion, the PureCinema circuit will process the signal with advanced motion detection and create the new progressive image.

To protect its sensitive, extremely high-quality ICs and video processors, the DV-59AVi’s design includes a triple-layered construction underneath the machine. This greatly increases the isolation of the components from vibration, for improved video and audio performance.

The Pioneer DV-59AVi Region-free DVD Player is Region Free. This Multisystem Region Free model is configured for worldwide playback so it supports all 1-6 regions in both PAL and NTSC standards. This model has a Progressive Scan feature, which improves the overall detail and quality of the video. To use the Progessive Scan feature however, a Progressive Scan TV will be needed.

Please note that although this and all our region-free DVD players will play all discs from anywhere in the world, in order to watch DVDs originating from PAL regions, you will need either a multisystem television or a PAL to NTSC converter.
