SCART Cables & Leads

SCART (Syndicat des Constructeurs d'Appareils Téléviseurs) cable is a French originated standard used to connect audio visual equipment. It has a wide spread use mostly in Europe, but it hasn't gained world wide acceptance. In France they simply refer to as Péritel, but in other parts of the world it is known as SCART cable or Euroconnector. The main advantage of SCART cables is the compact design which offers a standard way to transfer audio and visual signals from TVs, VCR, DVDs and many other electronic components.
